Not Enough "Cargo"?

Papua New Guinea (PNG) is a country above the continent of Australia. The population is about 5,940,775,  the coordinates are 6˚00'S 147˚00' E. Port Moresby, the capitol, it is near the Golf Of Papua. PNG is not a wealthy country like Australia or New Zealand. Even though they all are very close to each other. Papua New Guinea is not as wealthy as Australia or New Zealand not because of their skin color. It's not because of the geographical site, they are both near the same area and most probably produce similar products. It is because PNG, unlike the Australia, has kept working the same way as they did thirteen thousand years ago.

Papua New Guinea has had the same working traits for about thirteen thousand years. They did not try different ways to improve living. About thirteen thousand years ago, people slowly changed from hunting and gathering to farming. PNG still has some of the Paleolithic traits. In small, poor villages, people usually hunt and gather like their ancestors. The problem with that is that, it takes longer to gather enough food for a stable supply. The women gathered plant protein while the men hunted. There wasn't enough time to gather or hunt enough to feed everyone. The gathered plants didn't have enough protein for a human body. It took the Papua New Guineans a long time to advance, only because they kept to old time working habits.

Since Papua New Guinea had kept to the old habit, they were behind in the advancement in history, while other countries, like Australia, New Zealand, USA, China, Japan, Korea, Canada, and so on. The others had come to them and tuaght the basics and left them to catch up, because they were very behind in modern time that they couldn't keep up to the advanced technology. That is one of the reasons why Australia and New Zealand is wealthier than PNG. Although they are in the same region. If Papua New Guinea had not followed the old ways for so long they might have been as wealthy as the others countries in that region.
